Ready to start or expand your business? Our Set Up Shop: Plan It! training program provides the tools you need to grow, and ongoing resources to help your continued success.
We offer comprehensive, personalized training for new or growing entrepreneurs. Our free training is provided in cohorts of 10-15 people over 12 weeks. Each session features a different topic, including business strategy, operations, marketing, financials, and more, all taught through classes and workshops by our experienced staff and industry professionals.
Course content and pace are customized to each group's needs. We've graduated over 20 cohorts since the program began in 2017, led by ACLT staff and partners including Cook Inlet Lending Center, The Business Boutique, Alaska Literacy Program, the Polynesian Association of Alaska, and Alaska Growth Capital.
We accept applications on a rolling basis. Our next cohort begins Tuesday, July 7th, and extends for 12 weeks through the end of September. Weekly training sessions will occur on Tuesday evenings, with optional office hours for additional support on Thursday evenings.
The program is open to anyone who lives or operates their business in the Municipality of Anchorage. Those who live or do business in the neighborhoods of Mountain View, Fairview, Spenard, Muldoon, and Downtown will be prioritized.
