Our Training Programs
Set Up Shop: Plan It!
Our signature comprehensive training for new or growing entrepreneurs. Training is provided over a 6-week class, designed to help you learn the ins and outs of operating your own business with experienced staff and industry professionals.
Set Up Shop: Brand It!
Our specialized training to help existing businesses improve their online presence. Through a two week training class, participants will improve their digital literacy, after which you will receive customized support to help you improve your branding, photography, web presence, social media, and e-commerce.
Indigenous Peoples Set Up Shop
Our Indigenous Peoples Set Up Shop program provides business training and assistance, product design, and lending services by and for Alaska Native, American Indian, and Native Hawaiian entrepreneurs. These services are FREE, and Indigenous-led in partnership with Cook Inlet Tribal Council and Cook Inlet Lending Center.
Set Up Shop Specialized Cohorts
Our Set Up Shop training curriculum can be adapted to more focused and specific communities. Planning a specialized training can ensure that course content and pace are customized, and that the class is filled with peers of similar contexts and paths on their journey towards business ownership.
Some previous examples of specialized cohorts include a training for English language learners in partnership with the Alaska Literacy Program, a cohort for the Polynesian community in partnership with the Polynesian Association of Alaska, and a cohort for Alaska Native entrepreneurs in partnership with Alaska Growth Capital.
