As ACLT’s Director of Finance & Real Estate, Stuart works with neighborhood businesses and other local representatives on building a stronger economic base for the community. His focus is on increasing commercial traffic and connecting residents with good job opportunities. Stuart also manages some of the day-to-day responsibilities of ACLT’s property portfolio and generally looks after the organization’s contracting. He brings a wide range of experience from working in the legal field and with governmental agencies. Stuart has a BA from St. John’s College- Annapolis and a JD from UNC-Chapel Hill School of Law. Emily is ACLT’s Director of Communications & Development. Emily learned how to story-tell through an education in the arts, and has been seeking opportunities to make good stories since. Some of her most story-worthy jobs have included selling merchandise for touring bands, teaching Shakespeare with the Royal Shakespeare Company to youth in Detroit, and delivering wine to Disney executives. Emily is elated to now be shaping the story of Anchorage’s most vibrant neighborhoods through ACLT. Caitlin is our Program Manager, and she is committed to working with non-profits, foundations and local government for a better city. Her lifelong nickname is “Cat”, which continues to confuse baristas scribbling it on coffee cups. Born and raised in Anchorage, Cat obtained her B.S. in Sociology and the Civic Engagement Certificate from UAA. Nick Bachman joined ACLT this March for a year of service as an AmeriCorp Vista and has quickly found joy in helping ACLT develop it’s programs for new farmers and budding entrepreneurs at Grow North Farm. He first recognized his passion for land-use as a Geology Major at Middlebury College in Vermont. Nick became inspired to pursue community-based work while collaborating with a climate action team in his home city of Portland, ME. This summer, he completed coursework in urban planning at the UC Berkeley Summer Institute. Camilo joins ACLT as our Program Associate. A proud resident of Mountain View, Camilo recently spent two years as a professional father of two toddlers during which he honed his negotiation and time management skills. Prior to this, Camilo worked as Assistant Dean of Admissions at the University of Louisville School of Law where he sought to increase diversity among the next generation of lawyers. Camilo’s previous career included brand strategy, market research, and product management for LeapFrog Toys. Camilo earned his law degree from Seattle University School of Law and his bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Riverside. When he is not at work, you can find Camilo with his family exploring a new park, cooking out, or eating his favorite roast beef sandwich from Fire Island Bakery. Lyndea is our Set Up Shop Lending Manager. Lyndea is a born and raised Alaskan who grew up in Spenard. She earned an Economics degree from UAA to pursue community and economic development opportunities in Anchorage. While at UAA, she worked for the Mayor’s office, the Anchorage Assembly, and the State Department of Revenue where she focused on economic analysis of state and local issues. Before coming to ACLT, Lyndea worked several political campaigns as Campaign Manager and Deputy Finance Director. Lyndea loves to hike, sing, play with her two adorable cats, and read.
